Asbestos – Advanced training

This training is designed for individuals responsible for planning, handling, or supervising work where asbestos may be present. The course is intended for supervisors, designers, consultants, and others who, according to AFS 2023:13, are required to undergo asbestos training.

Target groups

– Supervisors, Construction Work Environment Coordinators (BAS-P, BAS-U), designers, safety representatives, CEOs, property managers, property owners, tradespeople, janitors, cleaning staff, and factory workers.

– Consultants responsible for environmental assessments and/or those who will lead work involving asbestos or asbestos-containing materials.

The morning session is shared with the Asbestos – Basic training.

Scope

The training covers a full day. Upon successful completion, participants receive a course certificate detailing the level, scope, and content of the training.

Purpose

The purpose of the training is to provide participants with the theoretical knowledge of asbestos properties, health effects, and protective measures required under the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s asbestos regulations (AFS 2023:13).

Occurrence of asbestos, health risks, and medical examinations
Safe sampling for analysis
In-depth review of regulations and legislation
Responsibilities in procurement, surveying, and remediation
Knowledge of waste management, inspection methods, emergency measures, report writing, sampling strategies, and protective measures
Responsibilities of the developer/client, BAS-P, BAS-U
Responsibilities of supervisors, designers, and safety representatives
