Technological Testing (ring testing)

Safe Control performs technological testing of pipes. The methods performed examine the ductility of the materials and the possible presence of cracks in connection with deformation.

We usually refer to the methods below as “Technological testing”.

Sub-steps performed are:

  • Bend testing
  • Flattening testing
  • Ring tensile testing
  • Ring widening testing

Ring Tensile Testing

Ring tensile testing is performed on pipes with a diamter exceeding 150 mm and a wall thickness not exceeding 40 mm. The inner diameter must be greater than 100 mm.

Ring Widening Testing

Ring widening testing on pipes with an outer diameter from 18 mm up to 150 mm, with a wall thickness from 2 to 16 mm.

Technological testing

We perform ackredited testing of pipes

The test results are evaluated according to national and international standards.

Scope of Accreditation

  • SS-EN ISO 8491 | Bend test of whole pipes (Ø8-18mm)
  • SS-EN ISO 8492 | Flattening test
  • SS-EN ISO 8493 | Widening test
  • SS-EN ISO 8495 | Ring widening test
  • SS-EN ISO 8496 | Ring tensile test
