Procedure Testing
In the Mechanical Testing and Metallography departments, the steps relating to procedure testing are performed. Procedure testing, or welding procedure, means that we verify the material and the mechanical properties of steel and weld.
To ensure a welding procedure, non-destructive testing (NDT) and destructive testing (DT) are performed.
- Bend testing
- Tensile testing
- Ferrite content measurement
- Phase analysis
- Hardness testing
- Chemical analyzes
- Corrosion testing
- Macro- and microscopic examination
- Impact testing
- Technological testing
Welding procedures are a requirement
The requirement applies to companies performs/work against for example:
- EN 1090-2, EN 1090-4 (Building forging and steel structures)
- EN 13445 (Pressure vessels according to PED)
- ISO 3834 (Certification of welding companies)
- SS-EN ISO 15614
- ASME
- NORSOK »
- NACE
- Customer requirements
Do you want to learn how to review WPS and welding documentation?
Our one-day training is held by Jonas Denzler who teaches how to review a WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
The day includes the elements: Requirements for the purchase of welding and welded structures and how welding is qualified.
The training is aimed at buyers, welders, inspectors of WPS and those responsible for purchasing, welding and manufacturing.
Lecturer
Jonas Denzler is a quality engineer at TRK Kvalitetsteknik AB. The company is an accredited inspection body according to SS-EN ISO/IEC 17020 for qualification of soldering and welding procedures.
