Safe Control Materialteknik AB becomes part of GBA Group

GBA Group has acquired a majority stake in Safe Control Materialteknik AB. With this acquisition, the group further expands its operations in Sweden and strengthens its position as a comprehensive service provider in Scandinavia. The acquisition is an important step in their strategy to grow and diversify their business in the region.
Founded in 2001, Safe Control Materialteknik is a SWEDAC-accredited materials laboratory specializing in testing, analysis, and investigation of primarily metallic materials. The company also offers environmental analyses of building materials, soil, air, and water. Over the years, Safe Control has established itself as a leading materials laboratory with a strong focus on quality, expertise, and customer satisfaction.
The founders and owners, Lars Andersson, Harald Fredriksson, and Catarina Wernlund, explain:

Safe Control Materialteknik AB was founded in 2001 by current owners Lars Andersson, Harald Fredriksson, and Catarina Wernlund. The company is an independent and SWEDAC-accredited materials laboratory based in Gothenburg. Its operations are centered around units for chemistry, mechanical testing, mechanical workshop, metallography, and environmental technology. The company also provides training in areas related to its operations. Clients include material suppliers, manufacturing and welding companies, the construction industry, inspection, and certification companies. The company has around 20 employees and generated a revenue of 28 million SEK in 2023.
