Visual inspection of welds

Welcome to a half-day training on visual inspection of welds. This is a fundamental method for assessing weld quality. The course is designed for welders and supervisors who need to perform self-monitoring of welds when required by standards such as ISO 3834 or EN 1090. Visual inspection is often the first step in quality control and can be supplemented with more advanced methods such as non-destructive testing when necessary.

This course is intended for supervisors.

The training includes the following topics:

  • Weld symbols
  • Drawing standards
  • Self-monitoring before, during, and after welding according to SS-EN ISO 3834
  • Welding defects and their causes
  • Quality requirements for welds according to SS-EN ISO 5817
  • Practical exercises
