Where PCBs may occur
Here is a list of locations and materials where PCBs may occur.
In the list we take into accout the relationship which exists when our laboratory receives samples regarding PCB analysis.
Capacitor
Material: Small capacitors.
Product: Fluorescent lamps, older dishwashers and washing machines, kitchen hoods, oil burners.
Information: Capacitors installed before 1980.
Contaminated soil
Material:
Produkttyp:
Information: The ground beneath a building where the facade contain, or have contained PCB-containing sealants where the levels of the general guideline values are too high.
Floor loads
Material: Floor
Product: Plastic based anti-slip flooring loads, mainly of the manufacturer Acrydur, which were admitted in 1956-1973.
Information: These floors are used primarily in the industrial, commercial kitchens and in laundry rooms.
Insulating oils
Material: Dielectric
Product: Capacitors, transformers.
Information: Insulating have in some cases been recycled which can lead to problems with the newer equipment not originally have been filled with PCB-containing dielectric fluids (which acts as a flame retardant, Askarel).
Insulating windows
Material: Sealing mass (sealant).
Product: Insulating windows.
Light oil cables

Sealants
Material:
Product:
Information: In houses built or rebuilt/sealant renovated between 1956-1973.
